CHIROPRACTIC APPROACH

Chiropractors specialize in evaluation and treatment of mechanical low back pain, neck pain, headaches and other musculoskeletal (muscle, bone, joint) conditions. Using spinal manipulation as one of many tools, the FUNCTIONAL SPINE CENTER, is focused on the integration of rehabilitative care in the treatment process. The evidence-based, patient centered concept enables patients to take an active role in recovery. Athletes, laborers, office workers, and those performing repetitive tasks, can benefit from our methods. FSC strives to educate our patients and help them return to independent function. Patients are taught self-management tactics and stabilization techniques in an effort to prevent injury re-occurrence, decrease pain, promote movement, and improve flexibility. |

The human structure is compromised of 206 bones, over 630 muscles, tendons and ligaments that connect everything and the nerves that control movement. Each of these components has a purpose or function – that is the normal and specific contribution of a bodily part to the economy of a living organism. The components of the human body are dependent on each other for proper movement efficiency. The lack of proper function, or dysfunction, is related to how the body component is used – too much, not enough, improperly or if there is an injury. We all develop different “weak links” in this interconnected chain of movement which will ultimately compromise proper function. |
